Who we are
This website, jmalltradesayrshire.com, is operated by JM All Trades Ayrshire Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC893733), registered office 30 Louden Avenue, Galston KA4 8DB. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy on 07914 022612 or by post to the address above.
The information we collect
- Enquiries — when you contact us by phone, through the contact form or on social media, we receive the details you give us: typically your name, phone number, email address, property address and a description of the work you would like done.
- AI Design Tool — if you use our free design tool, the photos you upload and the description of your project are processed to generate your design, material list and estimate. Photos are used only to produce your design and quote — never for anything else.
- Technical data — like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to keep the site running.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare and send your quote, carry out the work you hire us for, and keep the records that the law requires us to keep (for example invoices). The lawful bases we rely on are: taking steps to enter into a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running the business, and our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with the services that make this website and our work possible:
- Our website hosting provider (Fasthosts / IONOS, UK & EU data centres)
- Google Cloud — powers the AI Design Tool that generates your design and estimate
- Our accountant and HMRC, where records legally require it
How long we keep it
Enquiry and quote details are kept while your enquiry or project is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can honour guarantees and answer follow-ups. Financial records (quotes that became invoiced work) are kept for six years, as UK law requires. Design-tool uploads are not kept beyond producing your design and quote.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookies used are strictly functional. Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google when the page loads — Google’s privacy policy applies to that request.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, call 07914 022612 or write to us at the registered office. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
